Is it possible? How difficult it is?
Well it all depends what you usually do with your mobile device, and if you are the only user of it or not, but certainly there more apps you install, the more risks you will have, and even more regular updates you will need to implement.
It is very important to be very attentive when you connect on public Wi-Fi networks, (let’s not even consider pine apple wifi here) if you do, there is going to be a higher posibility that the information on your mobile device could had been already compromised if you are not careful enough.
Is there any ultra secure mobile? Yes the one you don’t use to call neither to go online, But being realistic, on today’s business world is difficult (close to impossible) to be totally offline. That’s why it is important to take some basic precautions:
- Use a VPN APP/Software specially while connecting on public places
- Use MFA and no passwords (FIDO) authentication for all (or) your important accounts
- Use encryption on your phone and SD cards.
- Use additional biometric encryption to unlock your phone
- Do not keep apps that you don’t use on your phone
- Do not install/download/click for unknown files/links sent to your phone.
- Review regularely rights given to the apps you have installed.
- And never share your pin code with anyone
